The start of a girls room...

We spent the entire 3 day weekend..shopping, assembling and painting!  I am in LOVE with the rooms.  We still need a few odds and ends but the rooms are pretty close to done!

I still will need to fill in these shelves a little more.  We painted the shelves from blue to pink, used Aubreys bedding, old curtains from when Aubrey was a baby etc.  I still need to get Casey outta this room and into his as well as assemble the crib!  But its coming along!

I need to find a new home for that lamp...I would like a lamp here but something very girly and feminine :)  I added the two butterflies for something for her to look at when we change her.  I just love the contrast of all the pinks!

This is where I mention more painting! I need to repaint her dress up caddy, her dresser top and drawer pulls and the book shelf.  I will probably paint them various shades of pink using the room paint we have left over.  However after painting two rooms in two days I am done with painting for a little while :)

The sun will not come out today so here is the best shot I could get of the room as a whole!  Not to bad and super girly! I am happy to say I did not buy ONE extra piece of decor besides ellies E!  We just spent our budget on paint for this room.  We are making do with what we have to keep on budget!

Yard Sale Hauls

 

I went and did a little shopping...All of the above Carters brand items cost me $25.00!  It is 17 pieces that is avg  1.47 a piece! These were all brand new just washed!  The lady had a bigger baby then expected so none of it was put to use!

 

5 Sleepers a lot of these I have had my eye on for sometime! 

 

The Carters 3 pc sets.  Ive wanted BOTH of these but just didnt want to shell out the 15.00 a piece for them :)

Just some odds and ends I could def stand to have on hand.  I was eyeing 2 pks of pants for 4-8 dollars a piece.  So this alone saved me tons!

I did a lot more shopping...This is just the 0-3 month stuff... below is everything 3-6 months and above and a car mirror!  I paid 30 for all of it which came to about  37 pieces!  Yes insaine...All name brand stuff as well..BARELY used!

Ive never with any of my kids bought second hand but I am def learning there are some great deals out there.  Esp stuff that was never used.  Just give a good wash or two and your good to go and have money left in your pockets.

The BIG room swap yet again!

The girls win and get the bigger of the two bedrooms.  We both agreed girls have more stuff and will stay together till they move out.  The boys will share the smaller room until Trev is older and we will let him have the "office" downstairs.  It will be a small room but it will be his own!  We do not intend on selling our house as we could never make any sort of profit on it! So lets go over the evolution of the BIG room shall we?

I have no pictures with it all done...I always hated the trim and the room was sooo empty and the furniture was sooo small in scale to her room!  However we were house poor so it worked!  Then we found out Casey was coming so we switched the room into a boys room :)

Now for the plan!

The crib and bed will be in the same spots in the room.  It works best with windows, heaters etc.  I plan on using the same crib quilt as I have used it for ALL 3 kids! I plan to try and reuse as much of Aubreys room as I possibly can!  However there will be some girly additions.....

I am torn on paint...I want at least one stripped wall but not sure if the others should be pink, if they should stay the tan color, etc  I do not want to redo this room again as every 2-3 years it has been redone!  I want to not even think about room redecorating until Ellie is a bit older and they want a bigger girls room! 

I also am striving to keep a baby side and a big girl side as Aubrey will be 5 when the baby comes!  What do you think?

Baby Buys up to week 20!

Since our big shopping spree when we found our baby girl was a baby girl Ive been trying to get things as I see them cheap...

My JC Penney haul...The two Carters 3 pc sets were 6.00 each.  The other two JCP brand set were 3-4 pieces and were 6 dollars each I believe..They could have been 8 each!

This was my trip to Kohls I think they have higher then normal prices so I tend to not shop there unless I have a reason...aka TWO 10 dollar coupons!  The 4 pc Carters set was 5.99 and the blanket was 2.99!

I also started grabbing things for her "nursery" or her side of the room :) We have a comforter from all 3 kids I want her to use that is a classic pooh theme.  So this stuff all will not match and is all a little off pink wise but it will do.  The mobile was 28(ugh they are pricey but most places have it for 50), the blanket was 5 or 7 from Walmart, changing pad cover was 5 and the outfit was 5 cause its cute!




Grandma bought baby Ellie a few things for next Spring/Summer in sizes I haven't even begun to look at yet :)

We have a name...

After a few days of straight pestering by me Jeff and I decided on a name for our sweet baby girl!




We will most likely end up calling her Ellie but I just LOVE her name!  Not to popular like Aubreys was when we named her.   Yet super feminine!

Cloth Diapering a newborn

Do I ever talk about anything besides babies, cloth diapers, and pregnancy anymore?!  Nope!  Well I arranged the babies cloth diapers, took inventory, and finalized our stash this past month! So here is all of our baby girls diapers for the newborn stage.  I have smaller babies that tend to stay small for a good month or two so these should last a while.  Newborn diapers have a fantastic resale value as well!

I plan on keeping the pockets, and grovias all for grandma, daddy and while we are out.  I also have a few packages of disposables I was given before we decided to cloth that we will use at bedtime.  I will prob use the prefolds and covers more then anything!

My 4 covers I have a lil nappies, 2 bummies and a xs thirsties.  I might get one more probably not though!

My alva baby and grovias(These things are so similar to a reg disposable diaper ANYONE can cloth)

My lil Joeys and Fuzzi Bunz...These are my more pricey diapers however they resell for cloth to what you paid for them!

I think after what I paid and what I can resell these diapers for I will have paid maybe 40 dollars for all of these diapers! If you figure 2 packs a week at 8 dollars a bag(that's figuring on a sale or a coupon) I would pay 128 for disposables! However I think some of these diapers will last me into 3 if not 4 months if she stays teeney like Aubrey did!

18 weeks!

Weeks along: 18

Babies size: a bell pepper(she was 9 oz)

Weight gain:  4 pounds

Feeling: I get very tired by days end as I am not sleeping well at night at all.  I am feeling relieved that we know the sex now and we fixed our registries, know the game plan for bedrooms etc. 

What I miss? I miss working out but I know its not best for the baby.  I miss being able to fit in normal clothes.  I miss having a brain(mine has disappeared)

What Im looking forward to?:  Room switching! We know the plan now....So now its all about making it happen.  Its A LOT of fun baby shopping now that I can pick gender specific items. 

Its a.... BABY GIRL!  Her heartbeat is still in the 150's which had me thrown off.  However my splotchy face, hormone induced crying fits, and healthier cravings had me always thinking girl!

My next appt I will be 22 weeks.  I hope to be under 7 pounds for weight gain.  I also hope to have started building the boys bunk beds.  I also hope to get Aubrey and the babies 2 walls we are painting painted Pink and spray painting the boys shelves from baby blue to WHITE!  Ive spent A LOT of money this week on clothes, diapers etc so I wanna make sure I tone down the spending and focus on the kids room swaps!

Its a ....

Our sweet sweet baby is very healthy!  The baby weighed in at a whopping 9 oz.  It was bouncing all around and I got my first 3d look at a baby ever!  It was so sweet watching the baby the entire time on the screen!  Everything is measuring a little ahead by about half a week but I am thrilled.  Aubrey, Casey and I went shopping after...I am so beyond thrilled!
