Pottery Barn Knock off party!

Homebody a great blogger is hosting a party today on knock offs from all your favs...ballard, pottery barn, restoration hardware!  Now I love looking through these catalogs but would NEVER pay the prices even if I had the money to blow.  I think its goofy!

I had my eyes on these...beautiful!

I started with this and just wasn't happy!  It needed MORE ornaments!

I opened the curtains too..its a dreary fall day!

I basically grabbed a few different size ornaments and some ribbon

Strung them through the various sizes of ribbon

I choose sparkly oranments you can choose whatever you like best!

It just wasnt enough ornaments though!  So I took my hot glue gun and added a few ornaments in on the ribbon here and there...

 I really do love it...

Plus it costs me I think 4.50 for the big ornaments the rest I had on hand!

I am happy with my weight loss this week! I treated myself a little(within my points).  I used some of my extras as I really really was craving the sweets this week! I also gained activity points for the week as I am almost done with Week 2 of the 5K training.  I am up to covering 2 miles over my warm up, cool down and run/walk combo!  I am feeling great and already have a pair of pants that fall off by the days end! Its amazing how into labels, and lower fat options are so easy!

I made brownies this week with apple sauce and egg whites and they were a little dense but YUMMY!

I am hoping to hit my goal for Christmas I will be one happy momma!

I am not used to this whole 1 year old with hair business.  I need to learn to cut hair cause he just looks crazy!  A friend of mine jokingly calls him the unibomber cause hes so wild :)

We were at the docs today with Aubrey she may have celiac, abdominal migraines or severe post nasal drip into her belly which causes her to be sick every morning! So we were trying to get her to open, stick her tougue and say AHH....She was fighting us so I said if you stick your toungue out and say AHHH I will give you a gold fish.  All the sudden we hear AHHHHHHHHHH and not from Aubrey...Yes my chunky monkey wanted some goldfish lol

Im making a list....and checkin it twice!

Shutterfly has a HUGE assortment of designed cards for your family!  I usually get my cards from them because its just so easy and a nice quality card to keep for years to come :)  Now to decide what card/picture theme I want to go with...When choosing a card make sure it works with your photo that seems to be what is most important to me and the photo card/layout that I choose!

There is this one very simple and cute...but can I get all 3 kids close enough that they will be in the card....doubt it

I love this one for the beauty and simplicity...Maybe take all 3 kiddos outside in the snow!  Have them all clean and smiling for once for a sweet holiday card!

Weight Watchers how to

With the number around 7 lbs lost now I am getting a few questions....

What do you like to eat?

On a typical day I have a few different options....

Breakfast:
Fruit
Bagel Thins and Weight Watchers Cream cheese
Egg Whites(scrambled) with skim milk and fat free cheese
Breakfast Bars

Lunch:
Sandwich(lunch meat(thin and trim, low sodium etc), cheese(low sodium), lettuce, tomato on a flat out)
Progresso Soups(99% fat free, turkey or chicken noodle) be careful some of these are SALTY!
Smart Ones
Fruit or raw veggies
Salad with 2 tbsp of Fat Free Italian dressing

Dinner:
I eat whatever I used to make however I make a low fat version of it!  I use fat free, low fat, chicken and turkey instead of beef, and TONS of veggies!!

Snacks:
Veggies
Fruit
Hummus
Cereal Bars

I did not use my extra points the first week but am using a few this week.  I read you need to constantly change up your point intake!  I think the hardest thing is reading labels, plugging them in and seeing how many points things are.  However I make tons my favs, meals, or recipes so its easy to add!  I also am trying to make sure I track my fruits and veggies, oils, water, etc.  Its amazingly easy!  THe internet tool is amazing plus I have it on my blackberry!

Weight Watchers

I have now been on Weight Watchers about a week and a half!  I have lost 6.4 lbs as of this morning!

I am doing amazingly well.  I can eat whatever I want but it really makes you think is this worth x amount of points...or what was supposed to be really good for you because it was reduced fat really ISNT!

For instance at Dunkin Donuts a reduced fat blueberry muffin is 9 pts a regular is 11!! Seriously?! 

Now if I use up 9 pts I can do something like this:
Bagel Thin 1
Weight Watchers Cream cheese 1
Sandwich with 3 oz meat, low sodium cheese, tomato, and lettuce 3.5
hummus 1
salad 0-1
banana 2
apple 1


Now what would you want a crappy muffin or all of the above?!  I am hoping to keep up with it!  I am not really going into my extra points...here and there!  I also am gaining on average 9 pts a week of activity as I am doing the couch to 5k plan! 

I want to lose 13 lbs to make a personal goal for myself and will be super pleased as I cant look at the fact I have to lose 60 something right now!  Little goals seem to work better!  Are you dieting?  Are you working out?

Holiday Organization

It took me about a week, I lost count on trash bags and we have 7 or 8 bags waiting to be dropped off at good will but the house is CLEAN or orderly! I wanted to get a hold of it before the holidays when it seems the house is bursting from the seams with STUFF!  I was so sick of spending tons of time digging through my kitchen drawer but didnt want to spend 10 dollars on a kit at Target(yes Im that cheap)...

Target dollar spot baby for 2 sets of these and I could not be happier!

This is keeping the crap out, I can find everything and I realized I have to many or to little of a lot of things!

Weight Watchers Weekly Weigh in Week 1!

I am not very happy with this weeks loss! I didn't really dip into my extra points this week...I also gained 8 activity points for my couch to 5k training I did on Tuesday and Thursday :)  Once I hit 10% I will be rewarding myself with a nice relaxing pedicure child free!  Only 16 lbs to go!  

I also am toying around with my love for sweets and making sure I am using my points wisely!

Choc Chip Pumpkin Muffins(3 WW points per serving)

1 box of Carrot Cake Mix
17 oz of canned pumpkin
1/2 cup of mini choc chips

Mix all ingredients together
Fill cupcake liners or greased pan(I used a ice cream scoop)
Bake for 20-25 mins(I put mine in for 23 could have prob used another min or two)

These taste SOOOO good! Way to good to be 3 pts considering a small cookie is 4 points!  YUM-O!!  My kids even liked them!

Oh yea I went there...

I know its still a ways away...I know that Halloween isnt even here yet...Would it annoy you more to know I made this in SEPTEMBER?

LOVE IT!!!! I saw this on Thrifty Decor Chicks blog a few months ago and fell in love!  I would def do it a little different next time the back is a little messed up on mine but is this not the cutest thing you ever saw?!

I plan on making a few more...Im thinking different sizes and maybe use them as stocking holders, centerpieces, hell I would just carry it around and show everyone!

A pumpkin Planter

A few people asked me about this pumpkin they have seen over the past few months in my fall Halloween posts...SUPER easy...SUPER quick.  I literally did it one day outside while the kiddos were riding quads around.

Start with the foamy pumpkin from Michales(they are all on clearance now)

Cut open a SMALL opening

Fill with a nice dirt or soil

Plop in an annual(You can tell I did this in August the second I saw annuals out)

Water and watch it grow...

Isn't it super cute..Plus you can dump out after Thanksgiving and have a "flower pot" every year :)

Accountability!

I joined weight watchers 3 days ago!  So far I have been doing very good!  I am very determined mainly because I love the idea of losing weight with NO work outs!  I can work out when I have time.  There are some weeks I work out every day and some weeks when I am lucky to get 1 day in!  I lost about 30 lbs back in 2008!  I was 35 lbs thinner then I am today!  I did not look like a twig by any means but I was working my way there!

My weigh in days are on Fridays!  My short term goal is 22 lbs away!  I would love to reach this by Christmas.  I will keep you all updated!  The fact I am paying 40 dollars to lose weight is motivation enough for my cheap self!
