Why cant I do this? Why cant I get so grossed out I want to LOSE! This is just so hard. Life is HARD right now and I am an emotional eater!
I do so well with my eating but the grazing and snacking just kills my calorie totals for the day! Plus the soda! I think I saw what I needed to see today...hopefully it gives me the urge to lose!
Weather is going to be getting nicer, I can start walking...then start LOSING!
My short term goal which I seem to do better at is losing 15 pounds by my birthday! My birthday is in 14 weeks...SO I need to lose a tiny smidge of a pound a week! I lost 30 lbs in 3 months I should be able to do 15!
HOLD ME ACCOUNTABLE! I am DONE having babies(I think) therefore I need to get to a nice healthy weight and stay there :)

A little progress
This weekend was a busy one...We have a million little projects going on and half of them are not complete! Plus we are trying to Spring clean a little!!
We are moving along in the master bedroom...All we have left is side tables, DVD player shelf and I may spruce up one of my wall hangings :)
So far we have moved wall hangings around, changed the curtains, painted one wall to a tan color, and added a mirror, shelf, lamps(and changed their shades), and added a few decor pieces....oh yea and don't forget the biggest change of all CROWN MOLDING!
Wow I am in LOVE with crown molding. Our house NEEDS it and we held off long enough. Jeff actually told me tonight its about time we put a little love into our room....we focused on every other aspect of the house BUT our room for so long!

We are HUGE meat eaters! It is served with every meal and we are up to around 1.5-2 lbs of meat per meal because I like to have one left over serving with each meal so Jeff can take it to work, or the kids can have a nice lunch the next day! I ONLY buy meat when its at a good price for me. I do this by shopping the ads, picking up manager mark down meats, etc!

Odd little ducks!
I fell hard yesterday and hurt my tailbone...since then I have been basically in bed, on the couch or on the floor and the kids have been rolling around me :) I've had time to sit and think obviously! My kids are just odd little ducks...
When offered a hot dog or grilled chicken they both choose chicken and became mad when I told them one had to eat the hot dog I cooked! What kid doesn't like hot dogs!
They do not really like Peanut Buttery and Jelly, Mac and Cheese, etc the STAPLES for kids!
For snacks they prefer fresh fruit, nutrigrain bars, Special K Bars, etc over anything!
My daughter basically clothes-lined me today when she saw me eating a bowl of Special K with Strawberries!
I buy them sweet KIDS yogurt filled with all sorts of bad stuff what do they want my Yoplait Light yogurt!
They eat what I cook for dinner every night. I am not a short order cook you dont like what I eat you dont eat but dont expect treats!
I am sure most mothers would love to be in my shoes...My kids may not be the best mannered, are always THAT kid in a store, tend to be big babies(but I dont baby them at att ;)) but they are very good healthy eaters!
They do have their downsides though...Trev would eat red meat every day if I let him...Aubrey loves her fruit smacks(snacks), and Casey hates formula and just wants mommys milk!

I could never
I just read THIS post by MckMama not all love her some hate her.....I LIKE her! Her post was VERY funny if your a mom of more then 2 kids! Its DEAD on! I love whoever wrote it. I am ALWAYS told OMG you look tired, how do you do it?, I could never be you, you have to many kids, etc! I just smile and move on and if I am feeling snarky I let them in on the little secret I want MORE! Having more then 1 kid is not for everyone, however it is for me. My kids make me laugh.....cry...A LOT....scream EVEN MORE....but WARM most of all...They fill my heart with love everyday. Even the days I want to give up make a nice Amanda shaped hole through my wall and run away!

Thrifty Tip Tuesday
Jamie at I am a money magnet is hosting Thrifty Tip Tuesday link up! What do YOU do to be thrifty?
We do small things. If I want to stay at home with my babies I have the job of making his 1 income plus side work stretch as far as we possibly can stretch it!
HEAT/COOL:
We have all electric heat! Its a PIG on electricity! We bought a wood stove to use next year when our wood has fully dried.
We turn down the heat in the rooms we are not using depending on the time(living areas off at night on during day...bedrooms vice versa)
Wear sweaters or tank tops! If its cold we bundle up if its hot we dress down. We try and keep the heat on 65 and the AC on 75! Yes its not ideal but it works!
Keep the curtains open to gain heat or closed to keep it cool.
APPLIANCES:
We run our dishwasher in the middle of the night. NO heat dry or hot water usage on it either.
We also try to do a lot of laundry at night or on weekends when it is considered OFF PEAK
This year we will hang dry towels, sheets, bedding in the summer! Use that summer sun to our advantage!
NO hot water is used in the dishwasher or washing machine.
We turn as many things off as we can to save on electricity! Get a power strip makes life a breeze!
KIDS:
We save what we can to pass down as I have a 5 month old, 2.5 year old and 5 year old! Toys, clothes, etc can be passed down.
TAKE hand me downs! My cousin supplies my 5 month olds wardrobe all from Gap, Old Navy, etc.
FREE days...Lots of restaurants have kids eat free days, museums have coupons on site..Never go anywhere without a little online research to get a coupon or save a few bucks!
SHOPPING:
DRUG STORES They are your friend..Follow a few blogs and in no time you will have a nice supply of health and beauty and cleaning items you paid pennies for!
REBATES and SAMPLES are you friend..Yes you will prob get a few junk emails or mailers but recycle or hit spam. I cant tell you how many samples I took with me to the hospital when I had my latest baby. We did not have to buy a THING!
Google a little you will be amazed what products you love can me made at home. For a fraction of the cost!
Clip coupons, print coupons, request coupons, etc...Just carry them with you and you will be amazed what you can get when you match a sale a coupon
Use CFL bulbs! Many times Home Depot has them with a in store rebate!
Grow your own fruits and veggies
Do all your errands one day a week conserve gas!
Use your grill its very cheap to refill..Ace Hardware refills our for 13 dollars vs a tank swap for over 20 at Home Depot!

Mourning...
I am mourning the loss of my pretty coke bottle type candle holder from Christmas Tree Shop! Yes it was only 2 dollars but I LOVED it...She only lasted a week or two in my house! Lanterns
Pottery Barn is FULL of them..The Chloe lanterns are 59 dollars! I went to Ikea and grabbed my lanterns for 4.99 a pop...We then went to Lowes and grabbed chains to match at .50-.99 a ft(we have about 3 feet) 
I LOVE the way it turned out.
The lighting in my bedroom is awful and we are picking up crown this week so ignore the nasty unfinished ceiling to wall. I also picked up that mirror at Christmas Tree Shop for 10 dollars beats the 50 I was going to spend at Home Depot! But aren't these cute?

MY freebie
I went to Ikea this weekend and picked up my bro a nice new shelf knowing that he would give me his expedit for FAREEE! I need storage badly! I would LOVE to go and buy nice wicker baskets for all of the slots but that is just not going to happen. I will not pay what people want for baskets..I think its ridiculous! The baskets that are in there are going back because my OCD husband wants a basket that fills the slot so we are not losing space(aka more places for him to store junk, kids toys, etc!) 
However do I like the Easter craft I made...not really....Do I like these FREE candle holder glass things my mom got me

Homebody is having a Pottery Barn knock off party! I love Pottery Barn however I could not imagine paying what they ask of their beautiful items when most can make them!! I have made a chalk board, bookshelves for the kids here and here, and have plenty more ideas to come just from flipping though the catalog :) It amazes me with a little time, tools, and paint what you can do and how similar it can look!

My brother has a Nikon D40 and it is awesome! I have taken some really great shots of the kids and I stink at taking pics! He edits them a little of course in photo shop but the clarity of the pics is amazing. They no longer sell this camera but you can find it on amazon, ebay etc. It is a little bulky but what good camera isn't. I used to to save money from going to Picture People and spending tons and tons of money...What do you think of the pics?!
and now for the RANT:
We are all sick in some way shape or form! We took the kids to IKEA Saturday Aubrey got sick Sunday morning with a runny nose and cough but acting herself just gets tired...Trev woke up Sunday limping we thought he was faking, yesterday I noticed he was baby-ing it(if thats even a word) so we looked sure enough his knee has a nice egg on it and it wont bend it. Casey last night got the cough and runny nose so he did not sleep well had to keep suctioning him out. I have a sore throat and am EXHAUSTED! Jeff has the runny nose part. Hope we get well soon

Seriously,....
This master bedroom remodel is taking me FOREVER! Its been trips here and there...getting out with 3 kids is murder and going to a store with delicates, glass, etc is just OUT OF THE QUESTION! Its getting there...I have touch up painting, hanging of some decor from the ceiling, which I can get done this week. However we are still waiting on a shelf piece(Jeff needs to find wood he likes), my pottery barn knock off side tables(again Jeff has to go to the lumber yard wasnt impressed with Home Depot, and crown molding which we priced out to be around 60 dollars for our bedroom which has to wait another week. It will get there

A little glam in a unlikely place
I went to Christmas Tree Shops this morning with the kids looking for some stuff..
I found these little gems for .59 a piece. They are from a Martha Stewart line and are supposed to go on top of lamps for a decorative piece! I liquid nailed them to some nails I had and then threw them up!
This works because there is a hole for the piece to screw onto a lamp therefore you can put your nail into it! Looks great..

The great news is that I planned on spending about 2.00 a decorative piece so I came in WAY under budget
I found these little gems for .59 a piece. They are from a Martha Stewart line and are supposed to go on top of lamps for a decorative piece! I liquid nailed them to some nails I had and then threw them up!
This works because there is a hole for the piece to screw onto a lamp therefore you can put your nail into it! Looks great..

Its not pretty!
I've been battling Post Pardum depression..I think with a little of FML depression! 2009 was very hard for us..job loss, pay cut, financial difficulties, a new baby etc. I choose to eat my way through it in return gaining and keeping on the weight I lost before I conceived Casey!
I lost 33 pounds in 2008/2009! I went from a Size 18 to a 12! I felt great, mentally was in an awesome place, had energy, etc! I want that back :) I am still nursing and plan to till Casey is about 10 month old! I have to be careful not to mess with my supply but I lost 5 pounds before I stopped nursing. My goal is a pound a week!
How do I plan on doing this?!
*No more soda(once in a BLUE moon can I have it)
*No sweets for the next two weeks(until I can get it outta my system the craving that is)
*LOTS of water, some tea, coffee with milk and sugar, and little juice
*Snacks..hummus, wheat thins, fruit, veggies, almonds, yogurt, special k and nutrigrain
*Eat a decent breakfast(Oatmeal with fruit, English Muffin with a piece of cheese, etc
*Wrap for lunch with low fat crackers instead of ships
*Eat what everyone else eats for dinner
*NO food after 7!!
*rewards for every 7 pounds I lose!
*track everything on spark people
*walk when I can(this is hard now in New England but as spring gets closer I will take all kids...Pushing a double stroller will be a GREAT work out!
This is what worked for me before and hopefully will work now :) I want to look decent this summer. I want to be able to be in a swim suit and not feel gross, i want ONE stomach, I want my pants to fit well, I want my face back. It will not be easy but I can do this. I did it before and I do not plan on any more babies so this can be the LAST time! Ideally I should weigh about 60 pounds less then I do but I would not feel comfortable at that weight...I would feel great at 30 perfect at 40 pounds loss...Of course a few pics from before..

I hate paying shipping for online shopping when I could just go to the store and grab items! However once a year Amazon has KILLER deals at Christmas time..I went in with a few "family members" bought a Amazon prime member ship 79 dollars split between 5 people and we now all have FREE 2 day shipping for the next year! Amazon has great prices.
Also use places like EBATES to shop. Once you go there you get cash back after purchases! I earned 38 dollars this year shopping that way! Who doesn't love FREE money! Also use sites like retailmenot for coupon codes or simply use Google and search for coupons for EVERY site! The other day my husband was buying something online and came upstairs and said LOOK see I saved 1.75 by finding a coupon code! 1.75 is not much but it adds up!!

Master bedroom progress...
Its coming along! I painted the "tv" wall a khaki color(Its a Ralph Lauren color I cannot remember the name!)...
I also moved some frames around which helped open the room up in the weird way that it sounds...
I tried nailing up a cute shelf I found at Target on clearance for 2 dollars however as usual I HIT A STUD!
I swear to you I hit a stud every time I try and hang anything. Jeff laughs at my luck...However it did not go so well I screamed, yelled and swore at the wall and waited for Jeff to get home!
I threw the curtains up and used my no sew hem tape which worked well. Im trying to re purpose the left over curtain for my lamp shades. I am not in love with the way it turned out I will probably buy some sort of decorative piece for the bottom to dress it up.
Jeff has the weekend off where we will buy the supplies for the Pottery Barn side tables as well as crown molding, and the mirror...Should be a weekend of progress

Western Name plate
I made Aubrey and Casey both cute name plates or letters for their room...Trev never had one and mentioned to me the other day he would like one...His side of the room is "cowboy"...After getting ready to throw this puzzle out because we lost half the pieces I realized the back was wood why not re use it! 
I grabbed my supplies(brush i had on hand, free glidden eggshell paint(LOVE EGGSHELL), rope and a hot glue gun(my nemesis)
2 coats of paint later I drew his name in pencil till it was the way I wanted it...then put a small line of jute tracing the letters!
I then traced over with rope..
It was just to plain for my liking so I grabbed some of the wall decals from his room that I had left over and added a few on and sandpapered the edges a litte..
It will actually go on the open wall above his bed when I can find a horseshoe or belt buckle to hang it from! I wish it was a little bigger name wise so it would be easier to read but good enough for me..
