We have had a HORRID time here with our electric bill...We bought the house in May 08 and paid out the ass come winter..Our largest bill was 500+...Come spring and fall its about 150...summer its about 200-225 due to the ac..Now we live in a ALL electric home so I do expect it to be higher then most. However we got screwed on a budget billing plan and have been back paying 600 dollars a month for a good part of this year :( Well last November our bill was 300 dollars and the temp was about the same..This last November with just washing, drying and dishwashing late at night. Being concious of lights, better with keeping kids outta their rooms during the day, and running the wood stove ALL the time we lowered our bill to 175!!! I was shocked. So I called our electric company and now we only have to pay 250 a month since they see we are trying to make a change plus we get fuel assistance :) 250 a month is so much easier to stomach then 600

We went to see Santa yesterday! Aubrey was LOVING him(she calls him Christmas) from afar. When it came time to get up close and personal she kept a good 4 feet distance. It took us over 10 mins to get her in his lap and he was basically holding her down. Casey was great while we were trying to get Aubrey on his lap then he awoke and was trying to nurse from Santa. Trev had a nervous smile the whole time..Most of the pics the two younger were crying sad to say this was the best we could get...Its all about memories I guess

Christmas update yet again..

A friend of mine has been coming over this week a lot to help in..In return

I have gone though my gift closet...This is great because I know what I have and what I need. The only remaining person we need to buy for is my Father in Law and one more small thing for my brother!

He spent 354.00 between last December and now!! However the retail value was 901 so I saved 548 dollars!! I think getting Santa done for 3 kids at a little over 100 each is pretty damn good considering what they got!!

Homemade Holidays!

I'm attempting each year to get more and more home made and less commercial retail for Christmas. This weekend my mom and I went shopping for pretend make up for Aubrey but everything was real..Now in the past month my daughter has painted my walls with Sharpie and poop and my floor with Finger nail polish so real make up is a NO GO in this house! Notsoidlehands posted about how to make your own nail polish make up. Its already hardening and will be EXACTLY what I remember having when I was a little girl...

Start with old make up cases or new if your a couponer and have a million of them lying around...

Remove the make up and clean the case with soap and water make sure to get all of the make up out!

Then pick your fav color nail polishes and slowly pour them in each opening :)

Let them dry for a few days open to get rid of the smell and then you have a nice present for any little girl! I will do this with a powder set and give her the dried out nail polish bottle as well.

This week at Target Wii games are buy 2 get 1 free. Use the Target toy coupons to save 10 dollars on two games...Some are saying you can buy 6 games, use 3 coupons and get 2 free! So if you stuck to the 14.99 games that a little over 6.50 a game!
