4 hours!!

Yes I napped for FOUR hours! In case you didn't read that right FOUR hours! I feel so much better! I def am getting sick not only does my throat feel scratchy but my ears hurt! A lot of TV, movies and hanging out this weekend...Hopefully we can still take the kids tubing like we promised. The kids will love it. I am a bit of a TV nazi...I just hate the fact how the kids zone when its on...They will get A LOT of it this weekend a nice treat!

We may be getting rid of all of our debt soon...We also will be re-financing our mortgage to a better interest rate down 1.6 to be exact! If we can get this money and get this new loan we will be very close to debt free and just have our house payment and utilities to worry about!

If I can get a job I will be getting OUT of the house and a little social interaction. I will feel like I am playing a part of our household. I also think it will make Jeff appreciate me a little more and get a lot of one on one time with our kids.

I have an interview scheduled for Monday...I am so nervous! I want to nail this.

I am very BLAH latley...Just trying to get the house clean and organized( I think I am spring cleaning a little early). I would like to have a Yard Sale this summer and make 100 bucks but we shall see how much I can get rid of.

I am just blah..Cooking, cleaning, baking, laundry everyday. I am making sure I stay in as much as possible and save save save..pay off, pay off, pay off. If all goes well we may be re-financing to a BETTER rate and saving A LOT of money per month. Things wont be perfect and will still be strict but they will be A LOT better!

I have been trying tons of new recipes lately some I love, some I will never make again but its all about living and learning right?!

Just blah hopefully I will get out of this funk!

We need baseboards and window and door trim. We also need to finish the shower, and put a socket protector on. THen we are DONE! I just couldn't resist sharing :) The paint color is Behr Valley Mist. The shower is to the right of the toilet.

Its monday afternoon

We are all fed and the kids are laying down napping! I was able to get most the house clean this morning, dinner is cooking in the crock pot(yes I am loving it this week), and I am checking up my email and back to cleaning. I want the house to be nice and clean so tomorrow I can focus on my Master Bath, laundry and maybe a trip to Whole Foods with my brother!

I was able to attack the princess room and get her closet and toys organized..Check those off my weekly list. I still have the prince bedroom as well as mine to clean and the whole downstairs! I am hoping I will get it all done today.

I keep getting distracted by dinner is is smelling the whole house up. Basically I put chicken breast cut in half with EVOO and Rotisserie Chicken Season on them and let them cook on low all day. I will make some twice baked potatoes and corn to accompany the chicken.

Anyways enough of my add the reason I blogged was because I was listening to Ryan Seacrest on the way home from getting gas and giving my brother a ride to work and he said...Today marks the beginning of the Chinese new year...The year of the OX. This is a year when mechanics(as well as many other) have great years! Lets hope right we can use all the good year we can get :)

My crock pot Roast came out FABULOUS! It was so tender and moist and the veggies were awesome...Next time I will add more and not chop them as small. Jeff and the kids loved it as did Max.

We are working on the master bath...The walls are fixed I painted my first coat a little while ago and I have to say I do not like it! NOT AT ALL! I wanted a rich blue and Jeff said try a green since the hallway isn't enough green in the house(insert eye roll)

The color is BEHR Valley Mist...In the book they had paired it with purple accents...So I think I may get a purple shower curtain tomorrow. I just cant decide.

Anyways it should be done by the end of the week at the latest :) Then moving onto the office and once the office is done our WHOLE house will be completely renovated!

It was my plan to get it finished over the winter...I want the spring and summer a time to focus on family time outside, landscaping and gardening.

Its come that time...

Dear New England winter,

As I took my walk in the bitterly cold and wind blowing I thought of you...and my HATE for you! I love walking in nice walking pants to lose the feeling in my ass because you are so damn cold you seep through my clothes! I also love the fact I come home I look like Santa with red cheeks and my nose is a water faucet! Its so frickin cold..Kids cannot play outside...I cant get a nice tan while they play outside, I cant do yard work(my other love besides cooking), we cant have friends over with HUGE BBQ parties! We cant play in the pool! Its dark at 4! You just suck...Im counting down the days to a beautiful Spring!

Roast

I am making my first Roast in the Crock pot. As I was cleaning up from making breakfast and preparing everything to go in the crock pot I realized even though the princess was pulling on my legs in return making my over sized pj pants fall down, the prince was doing Kung Fu all over the kitchen and Max(the dog) was waiting and praying I would drop something I was at ease.

Normally if I had 3 little things at my knees tripping me I would scream and yell and someone would end up in time out. But no not in my kitchen, Ive spoken about my kitchen before and how much I love it. It is BY FAR my fav room in the house. As I have daily gotten better at cooking and baking and really formed a love for cooking, trying new recipes and experimenting I am just at east.

I love my kitchen esp with the smell of a yummy roast. I was unable to use the recipe that I recieved from my BBC mommas...

I threw in this order...
4 carrots peeled and sliced
4 potatos sliced and cut into 1 inch squares
Roast a little over 3 pounds
2 packages of Onion Soup Mix
1 cup of water

Its on low and will cook for 8-9 hours :)

CAVE?!

I had bananas that Jeff left in the car and were going bad so I decided to make my infamous Choc Chip Banana Bread! Jeff loves it, The prince jumps for it and well the princess eats anything but she always asks for MAW(more) of it. I am in a bad mood today and of course its a little crisp(I don't dare say burnt)...pisses me off.

RAINING

Last night as we laid in bed Jeff screamed OMG I looked up and sure enough the sheet rock above our room was peeling...That means water...Jeff touched it and said it felt like soil and then PSHHHHTTTTT water comes flying out. Evidently we should have been cleaning the snow off the roof bc ice formed at the end of the roof making lakes when it melted in return going up the shingles, into the attic. We have a 2x4 piece of ceiling that has to be repaired and Jeff and his dad are up on the roof as we speak cleaning it off. THANK GOD for how helpful he is :) I cried for a while last night because I feel as if I am at the end of my rope with this house. Hopefully Jeff will get it all fixed today(he took the day off)! NEVER EVER a dull moment around here!

Teddy Bear Picnic

The prince was able to wear his jammies to school today and even take a teddy bear...They had a picnic and had bear cookies until ants came...He took one home. They also had some juice and read stories all day long. He said he had so much fun as I could tell by the excitement in his voice. When we came home he ran inside came back out and told me It was safe he checked it for bears and none were in the house :)

While he was at school the princess and I went to the mall and walked for about 30 mins then did this.....

She did so good and was in such a good mood until we were about to do our last background change so I picked her up and she told the chick bye and blew her a kiss..aka I am tired and want a nap! So she fussed the whole time I was looking at pics but passed out in the car.

Proud to say I lost 1 pound!!!

It's time

To put my weight loss tracker back up! At my best around mid October I had lost 26 pounds! Today I have lost 21! That pisses me off...Its all the holiday cooking, party, booze and baking we do. I am back to not eating after 7! Its killing me but as you all know weight loss is a mental thing for me. I will get through it in a week..Drinking water...tons of water...no soda, limited juice and coffee.

I also am back to watching what I am eating...Today I will have some Yogurt and Oatmeal for breakfast, crackers and hummus for a snack, salad with chicken for lunch, salad and tortellini for dinner bc I am making meat loaf for everyone else..I may have the meatloaf just LOTS of veggies and very very little meat loaf! Ive been doing my walks which will only be 4 days a week until day light savings time but whatever.

Anyways the tracker is back...Because I never weighed myself at the beginning of the month I have no idea where I stand with the 5 pounds...I will be happy if I can get down 2-3 more pounds by the end of the month.

Mortgage Insurance...

We took advantage of a loan program that offered us a 6k grant to use towards closing costs...We just cant sell in 10 years or we have to give the money back...We don't plan on selling if we do we re-finance first! When we bought the house we put down 3k and already had 13% equity because we STOLE the house from the lender lol :) Basically we had 15% equity when we signed the papers...

Since then we have...

Cleaned up the yard...all the over grown bushes were removed, lawn was mowed, started working on flower beds...The siding and roof still look awful as does the drive way and back yard but we are getting there!

Living Room...Removed Wood Paneling, replaced all doors with 6 panel doors, painted, put hard wood laminate down

Dining Room...Replaced Window, painted, replaced light fixture, new heater

Kitchen...Brand new kitchen...Removed all wood paneling and replaced it with plastered walls, New light fixtures, tile back splash, counter top, Kraft Maid Cabinets, dishwasher, stove fan, wood laminate floors, and door!

Bathroom...Again total gut job...New Shower, Tub, faucets, vanity, medicine cabinet, storage cabinet,fan/light floor, 6 panel door, accessories and even removed all the old sheet rock and plastered in there!

Hallway...removed all wood paneling and replaced it with plastered walls and laminate flooring

Bedrooms...Painted, new carpet and new 6 panel doors

Master bath...Currently Jeff has it gutted except for the shower...He is repairing the walls..When he is doing we will have everything new except for the shower...

The downstairs was nothing...We made it into what is is...Fixed all the walls, laid down carpet, fixed all the ceiling tiles...Carpeted the stairs, made full stairs at that!

So we obv have over 20% equity in our home...However I STILL have to pay 63 dollars a month to Mortgage Insurance until May 2 2009! At that then I have to PAY for a accessor to come out and access my home and tell me how much it is worth! It was between 400-500 when we had to get one done for when we bought the house...Meaning almost 8 months worth of insurance I get to pay someone so I can remove it. Yea it will take a hit at first but I guess better then paying 21k in insurance!

KISSING

I took this from a parent that is the prince's BFF in school...

"I had a good laugh today upon picking up my little angel from School. I was informed she broke a School policy, “No Kissing”. I asked Alison on the ride home and she said, “I did this” (chin down, big doe eyes, double blinky-blink) “…and he did this..” (chin up, big doe eyes (I’ve seen them they are gorgeous), triple blinky-blink) “…and I had to hug him and kiss him on the lips!”

Her friend in the car was quick to point out she was not there at the moment nor was the boy previously titled her best boy friend. The teachers informed me he was quite distraught and said he, “should have told Alison he loved her before vacation and she is no longer his girlfriend”. I am not certain where it all stands, but sure they will be playing together again soon."

Now a few days ago he came home so sad. He was seriosuly depressed. I kept asking him what was going on and he said A(his bff) kissed B(a boy in the class) and A doesn't wuv him anymore and neifer does B. He just doesn't know what to do...So I came across the above post and started cracking up. I composed myself long enough to ask him if they are still friends and he said sometimes..but she gets mad at him because of his powers(thinks hes a super hero).

These kids are sooooo hilarious! I really hope we can keep him in school the project and stories are enough to keep me laughing.

What would you do?!

I claimed M10 and they barely took anything out however we are getting a big tax return again...Well a little over 2k!! I have a few options...I will let you know why!

Option 1:
500 Savings-Meet my goal for the year!
1 months mortgage Mortgage account So we are always a month ahead!(aka never lose the house)
Remaining Car Repairs(The car and the truck need a few things..Jeff is a mechanic so we pay no labor and get cheap parts!)

I choose this option bc times are hard for us right now and having the mortgage set aside would mean it always got paid I just need to set aside 365 a week into the account!

Option 2:
Pay off 6 Credit Cards or Hospital Bills
200 Car Repairs

This would free up 140 a month in our budget that we could use to our other debt! I would love 140 more dollars a month however I also want the security of our mortgage being paid


Option 3:
Mortgage payment in our mortgage account
Pay off 3 cards and half of another

This would free up 43 dollars a month in debt and also give us the mortgage like I want!

Option 4:
1880 to my college to allow me to get half way though my last year of school. I would still need to come up with 500 dollars by the summer!

I LOVE option 1 for the fact we have some just in case money!

I LOVE the idea of Option 2 for the simple fact we are freeing up a lot of debt and can apply more money towards everything else

I am not a fan of this option!

I cant decide if its worth it. I will be home for a few more years why rush school?!

I walked again today! I walked a different mall but I got the work out in. I feel great...I was even Glowing a little(sweating)...It feels good I cannot wait to walk outside for FREE so I don't have to waste my gas. Tomorrow I will take off bc I don't want to waste the gas however Thursday I will be back at the mall.. I will try and walk this weekend depending on weather and temps!

The bad side of walking the mall is stores...

Philosophy

My brother and I were talking about his fav(at the moment) philosopher and he made a great comment that stuck with me this evening...

In a nutshell he believes.....Don't drink, don't practice religion, both are means of escapism. Relish your angst and misfortunes as you must go through hard times to overcome. He comes to the metaphor of climbing a mountain frequently. There will be areas impossible to climb, new paths must be found. At times you'll wonder if it's ever possible to reach the summit. Once there, however, the air is crisp, views impeccable, and you're at your most liberated."

I think this goes along well with my life now...We are in a tough spot...I cannot solve our problems easily and I am having to work hard and find other ways of doing it. I may be reading a book or two from this man. I do not agree however with his thoughts on religion. I do believe in god and speak with him and thank him on a daily basis!

Walking the mall

I walked Saturday but could not walk Sunday I WANTED badly to walk so I decided to go to the mall before they opened...I walked and walked and walked!

SOOOO many stores are going out of business. Stores that have been in my mall for as long as I can remember...MY CVS in the mall so sad however I plan to take FULL advantage of that! Frederic's of Holly wood! I paid 8.50 for 92 dollars of 3 bras and a pair of undies! A newsstand, a jewelry store, KB Toys, etc. I noticed the mall's hours have changed as well no longer open on Sunday till noon! So very sad! However I did a really good walk and busted a sweat! I then came home and shoveled and plowed my back is killing me but I feel sore a good sore! Daylight Savings time cannot come fast enough I truly LOVE walking! Not to mention I NEED to hit my 50 pound weight loss goal this year.

We are going back tomorrow after we drop the monster off at school cant wait!

MLK Day

My mother works in Mass and has the day off tomorrow...My plan is to drop the monsters..I mean precious children off with her walk the mall(exercise, NOT spend money), then go to 2-3 Shaw's and use up all my coupons from the 3 papers I bought today! Hopefully I can save a ton and get a lot accomplished.

I was waiting in line to pay for my booze and food for tonight's festive dinner party I'm having and I remembered MATT was in this weeks issue of People. I read through the whole article and almost started tearing up. I am so sure that this man is sick of women crying about his life, his baby girl Madeline, etc.

He is an amazing man. Maybe because I was raised by a single parent and I know how hard it can be but he has really stepped up to the challenge in ways I'm sure shock himself. He writes a great blog, takes awesome pictures, and he is so real and honest in all of his blog entries. If you get a sec check it out. You will be hooked. The prince likes to "read" now. He has a Tag reader that he can actually learn and read along with. He now thinks it magically works for every book. He will "read" his version of the books we have. Its really funny to hear. He knows the book by us reading to him so its just his version. However some books like Eric Carle The very hungry caterpillar he can read front to back back to front...Its great. Such a smart boy. I cannot believe he is 4 let alone I am the mother to a 4 year old. I am way to young for this stuff!

The princess is standing in the hallway taking as many steps as she can till she falls...She then claps for herself and screams yay! My seedlings

In the next few months I will be back to Home Depot and Lowes for my love of my yard! I was born and raised in apartments...Never had a yard I could take care of, play in, blow up a swimming pool etc.

This year I:

Cleared out the two "weed beds" along the front of the house and made then into nice cleaned out rose bushes, some green bushes I cannot remember and lots and lots of red mulch(LOVE this stuff)

Cleaned out the beds around both trees...One just has mulch we will keep it that way a very DARK ugly tree...The other one I planed seasonal(fall) annuals cant think of their name right now and they did not do so well. I will have to research and see what can go there...Semi sunny area!

We also cleared out the 3 tiered landing pads next to the back door and planted BEAUTIFUL annuals and perennials in there...I was amazed how big they got!

Mail box was cleaned out and planted some perennials around it...Came out GORGEOUS!!

The side yard patch was cleaned out of weeds central!

The back yard we put up a picnic table and fence so you don't fall down the cliff(No lie) and we also planted some fall flowers(did not do so well with some more of the green bushes

Jeff worked on getting all of the rubbish out of the flat part of the back yard and we will work on that more....

My goals for this year are to...Remove a few small pointless trees from the front yard, keep my beds weeded and nice and ALIVE! I would also like to get grass growing along the walk way where it just wont go...I would also like to get grass next to the mail box. I would LOVE trees along the trashy neighbors side but we just do not have it in our budget!

The backyard needs TONS of work! We plan on getting it nice and cleared out, getting the 3 season porch off and the "patio" up(we cannot afford stairs off the deck therefore it will be a patio since it will be lined with railing all the way around)....If we can get it at least cleared out of all the leaves and overgrowth and maybe a little grass going in there I will be a happy momma!! We will have our pool back there as well.

For the biggest news of all...

I'm started a garden! Yes me who kills everything is planting a garden! My goal is a 25 percent success rate...I will be planting.....Pumpkins, Cucumbers, Tomato, Peppers, Carrots and Strawberries! It should be interesting..We will begin getting the soil ready in May and by my birthday have everything in the ground...We are buying potted plants if I can keep those alive we will try seeding next year. Lot of water, tlc and fencing to keep all the damn rodents out. This will probably last till I run into my first snakes then I will be back in the house all summer again...My poor kids never get a chance at summer since we moved to the amazon!

I have of course posted some pics of my progress over Spring Summer 08! Do not mind the awful siding, two colored house and neon freakin blue accent...I love my yard cant wait to love my siding!

Walking...in New England

I went for a walk yesterday and helped my shitty mood A LOT! Walking for me is equivalent to a bottle of wine for some, a bottle of xanax for others, a hour of 100 dollar talking to a total stranger for others! I LOVE walking! I took 10 mins longer then it used to take me...I did however have a very hyper 70 pound German Shepherd with me along with a lot of ice spots in the road. Plus I haven't walked in about 4 months. I was unable to walk this morning considering we received about 8 inches of snow over night. I can just envision me plus a snow plow and a bad ending! I did feel like a brand new woman! I will try and walk next weekend. I will not say I'm doing it in the mornings bc I know I wont...Sleep is far to precious!

Christmas Party in January?!

Jeff's company always does this party after Xmas! Every year everyone goes...this year Jeff was the only tech there...Hey I'm thinking we can use every little thing we can get in case they start laying people off. So we went to the owner of the shop he works for home last night for the party. It was a lot of fun and we walked away with 3 dollars in Scratch ticket winnings, a ihome speaker set, and headphones. It was a lot of fun and I feel really good about it. Plus we got boozed up and had a night without the kids! We picked them up late from my moms and they slept until 9 this morning! Its not 12:40 they are napping, the house is spotless and I am getting caught up on laundry! YAY I think Im going to lay down and watch some gay chick flick!

SHES WALKING! Took her over 16 months but she is FINALLY WALKING! I am not ready for this at all...Life is about to get interesting.

Tired today in a blah mood I don't really feel like blogging.

My weight

I had stopped walking around daylight savings time...At that point I had lost 27 pounds.

I got on the scale today knowing I still would not be at a loss of 27 I am at a loss of 24.6 currently. At the beginning of the week I was only at 20 pounds...Yes I had gained back 27 pounds...however I was depressed and using food to comfort me through the holidays. I got back on track this week and already lost 4.6 pounds! Very close to my lose 5 pounds goal for January. I SO badly want to walk but I cannot take the princess out in this weather, nor do I feel comfortable walking at night in the dark woody neighborhood I live in. I am going to try to walk on the weekends. We will see how successful I am.

AS DUMB AS HE LOOKS! I swear to you if he wasn't up my ass all day(being a people pleasing dog), or on everyone's ass that walks pass the house(being a protective dog) I would not think he was a German Shepherd. He is so stupid. He is so stubborn and hard headed. He is a total dumb ass and makes you laugh sometimes. I smash the recliner down on him daily bc he has to sit right next to me. I cant even go to the bathroom without him right there.

I've really been trying! Really REALLY been trying. I've been to Target ONCE! How great is that...I used to go a few times a week. I've also posted my Gym bucks on trading boards and CL. I also decided I will have to pass on the amazing Old Navy sell in a few days. I still have 243 of my budget left for the month which is very doable considering this week all my food will be free bc I have 37 dollars in credit or RR that I plan on using for Eggs, Milk, Gatorade and fruit!

I've also been spending very little in gas. I used to have to fill my tank weekly at 26 dollars. The past two weeks Ive spent 13 dollars and 12 dollars meaning I've cut my driving around in HALF!

I'm also working on a list of things that we need. I will have to save and buy them when we have extra left over. My goal is to get this debt paid off over the next few years and being extremely cheap will get us there...

Never thought...

If you told me 5 years ago I would have 2 children, a husband, a house, and a pain in the ass dog I would have laughed at you.

I didn't want children I was just to selfish. Not to mention I saw my mothers struggles and didn't want to raise children.

I didn't mind being in relationships however I did get bored quickly and wasn't ready to settle down at all. Jeff and I were friends for a LONG time and never would have thought he would be my husband.

I was working up the ladder at my job and becoming very well know for a hard worker, reliable and always getting the job done. I hate animals by the way...They are great in zoo's or other peoples homes just a pain in the ass to care for.

Then this happened 4 years ago. We had just got back from the second trip to the hospital and I was learning to nurse, deal with a very jaundice infant and living with Jeff for the first time. What a stressful few months that was...He was so skinny!

I loved him from the beginning and I almost immediatley wanted another. However it was becoming very hard for me to get prego again. He was such a sweet boy and we just enjoyed our time with him. He was such a chunk and loved being a big boy...in this case like daddy!

FINALLY 2 years ago I took a test...I literally found out I was prego a day or two before this shot! How did I not know I was prego with a belly like that lol I was so thrilled we stopped trying and it finally happened. I remember thinking how would I be able to handle two, the prince needed to be potty trained, we lived in a ghetto apartment we weren't ready to buy a house yet! Not to mention I JUST threw away all my baby stuff thinking I couldn't get prego!

Last year...My baby girl was getting good on her belly and filling out. VERY attached to me but she was getting a lot more tolerable of Jeff! It was start right? We just had begun thinking about buying a house in November of that year...little did we know 3 months from now we would be homeowners.

An award...and the child mentioned a check!

Sassy Cass awarded me this Lemonade with a kick :) She is so great at raising her very cute RED headed boys! She always has the funniest stories about her boys. Frankly I don't think I could be the pink in a house of blue however she seems to take it with a grain of salt! Thanks Sass!! Anyways its now my job to award MY fav blogs and let you know why...If you win my award you must keep the award going!

1. Mom2MaxandAlex She is not only a nurse but also the mom of two very energetic boys! I love reading her stories about her boys esp check out her Spike videos of the boys its hilarious!

2. YOFL Jamie is kicking ass and taking names! She changed her WHOLE way of living and spending this year...Became a lot more green, planted a succesful garden, made it through a divorce and raised her kids along the way. I am truly inspired by her devotion!

3. HW to H-Ville I swear to you we are sisters from another mother lol We are way to much alike with our children and eating habits...It seems we both have a love of entertaining, being super moms and our love and hate of food and weight loss! She kicked my ass this year by about 8 pounds but I will get mine this year!

4. Matt and Maddy Matt gained a baby and lost his wife in a matter of a day or so. I am truly amazed at how he can raise such a happy healthy little girl...Not to mention in pics his house is clean and his daughter is dressed well. I don't think that Jeff would ever be able to step up to the plate the way he has done. Such an inspiration!

5. Bargain Hunter Thr frugalista in me loves her...She saves so much money and sticks to her budget. Also gotta love the picture motivation to keep coupons!

Kids

Did you want your oldest child to grow up fast? Did you want your baby to be a baby forever?

I've come to the realization that I did both. The prince is a VERY simple child. It doesn't take a lot to make him happy. He can find entertainment in anything. He is very social and very mature for his age! I felt when he was a baby looking back I always wanted him to be doing the next thing. I didn't sit and enjoy the fact that he was a baby. He was such a good happy baby and I shouldn't have taken that for granted.

The princess however was my baby girl. I exclusively nursed her for 11 months meaning we didn't leave each others side for more then an hour for 11 months. She was very attached to me. In the beginning NO ONE besides me could hold her, put her to sleep etc...No one not even Jeff! She got a little better now she will allow some people to be around her...NOT MANY! I baby her a lot and I really need to cut the cord. She is so very attached. I was shocked this morning that she played with toys and watched cartoons for over an hour. For most 16 month old's this is normal behavior..no not her..She would rather try to put socks on while I fold laundry, take out everything I put in the dishwasher as I unload it, hang on me all day long...

Maybe I'm a bad mother for babying one and not the other. I guess you live and learn right. Maybe the 3rd I will get it dead on.

Its a cold snowy icy day..the house is clean and I'm working on laundry its so great to be able to play with all of our new toys and just enjoy the house and being inside all day.

4 year check up

I cannot believe that I have to take the prince to a FOUR year check up. Where has my baby gone? I remember when the questions were easy...how is he sleeping, how many bottles...etc Now its so much more in depth questions as well as a 4 year old answering them! He has been in the 90th percentile since he was about 2 months old...He finally dropped to the 75th at 41 pounds! He also dropped in height to the 75th percentile at 41 inches tall! He is doing well with all his body parts, eating, skills etc. His eyes were beyond perfect and his hearing was perfect! He had 4 shots and he wasnt happy! "I dont WIKE dose tings!" He's a trooper though! I can't wait for him to be back in school tomorrow :)

You know your frugal when...

It's KILLING me that I spent 300 dollars on a dish washer!

It wasn't even the one I wanted. The one I loved was 498! I just couldn't fathom spending that much money on a dishwasher.

I can get a years supply of dish soap and sponges for FREE! The water would cost us the same I would assume. We sold our old one off Cragislist made a quick 25 bucks but 300 dollars!!!!!!!

It is going to take me a while to be okay with this.

1st time home ownership

It sucks! Totally SUCKS! We bought a total fixer upper...I will NEVER forget buying this house! WE walked in and I immediately said NO! I wanted no part of it. After losing 4 houses to investors I was weak and Jeff just ran with my weakness and we got the house. At the time we bought it it appraised for 23k more then what we paid for it!

When we bought it..it looked like this....It stunk so bad, was just so filthy and never taken care of. We have had to give it a lot of work, time and TLC!

Our plans for 2009 are....

to re-do the master bath...pedastool sink, new mirror, new light fixtures, new accesories, new toilet seat, clean the current bath tub and remove the door replace with regular curtain, new tile floor. Most of the stuff we have the rest my mother will buy for my mothers day present.

The office needs the walls to be filled and repaired, replace the water turn off door, floor, paint, ceiling tiles.

We have to put a new roof on and in order to do that we have to take down the 3 season porch and make it a deck! WE will keep the deck flooring and put a railing on it and make it a deck...WE are not 3 season porch people esp half assed 3 season porch people. It will be very nice..We have to remove the roof, the walls, the second landing. WE have to install stairs from the ground to the big deck part and then put railings up and stain them...Im thinking a cherry color :)

It will also be nice to have a brand new roof! I am dying literally DYING to get rid of the siding...WE just cant afford the 11k to have someone do it or the 5-6k to have Jeff do it right now. I am HOPING that will be our 2010 project!!!

I also want to get the grass good. If you look at the house to the left is all leaves and dead trees we want to clean it up and get all the leaves gone so it is at least cleaned up. I want to get some more grass going next to the mail box. Its amazing to me how different the lawn looked after a little mowing, tlc, spraying fertlizer and stuff did. My flower beds turned out great and will be fun to keep that up again.

We are just so poor from this house however it is our first second and last house. We made it what WE want and now we can pay it off and enjoy it. I HOPE!
